WHO’S HOT - Batters

CHASE UTLEY Phi - .367 AVG, 11 RBI , 9R over the last 14 days, owned in 99% percent of leagues – if your looking for a trade( INJURED THUMB. star Chase Utley tried to stretch a single into a double against Cincinnati, but all he got was a lousy injured thumb that forced him from the game a few innings later.  2.  RYAN RABURN DET – .391 AVG, 8 RBIs, 6Rs and is only owned in 1% of yahoo fantasy leagues(2^nd,OF) Had not been a fantasy factor because of limited playing time and a low batting average. His batting average on the season has jumpred from .165 on June 13^th to .213 on June 28^th.Raburn is starting to feel a little more comfortable in the batters box now the has surprassed the 100 At-Bat mark and is likely responsible for the .048 rise in batting average.

3. CLIFF PENNINGTON Oak - .471 AVG, 4RBIS, 9Rs – Numbers have peaked, but production is still good.

2. BRANDON PHILLIPS Cin - .302 AVG, 0 stolen bases, 10 Runs – 97% owned

      3. TROY GLAUS ATL – 1B has been sensational and cheap pickup from the Atlanta Braves this year but he hasn’t been hitting the ball well in the last 2 weeks, driving in only seven (7 RBIs) with one home run (1HR) while only batting .146. He’s only owned in 70% of leagues

  2. RICKY NOLASCO Fla – 1.05 WHIP, 4.05 ERA, 21Ks in the last 14 days. Owned in 82% of yahoo fantasy leagues

  3. JAMIE MOYER Phi – He may hold the record for most home runs hit against a pitcher, but over the the past 14days and really this season, Moyer has been hot. Pitching for a 1.98 ERA, .57 WHIP, while recording 3Ws.

3. UBALDO JIMENEZ Col – 5.03 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 2 Ws. Those numbers aren’t terrible but Jimenez has given up 10 earned runs in his last two outings and only 9 earned runs in his previous 8 outings. Jimenez also walked four batters in Mondays outing against the Sand Diego Padres.

1. JOEL PINEIRO LAA – Angels starting pitcher has 3 wins with a 1.11 ERA and 0.70 WHIP and is only owned by 28% of owners in yahoo fantasy leagues.
2. MARK BUERHRLE CWS – The resurgent White Sox starting pitcher has 3 wins and a 1.80 ERA with 17Ks. Buerhle is owned by 49% of yahoo fantasy owners.
3. BOBBY JENKS CWS – Closer Bobby Jenks is only owned by 68% of yahoo fantasy owners. Jenks has racked up 7 saves and 8ks in the White Sox last 8 games. In this span Jenks has lowered his ERA from 4.91 to 4.18.
WHO's NOT - PITCHERS

1. UBALDO JIMENEZ COL, has been lights out this year but has posted an ERA of 4.58 with a 1.53 WHIP while picking up 2 Wins in the last 14 days.
2. MIKE PELFREY NYM – Mets new ace Mike Pelfrey had a tough couple starts as he posted a 5.54 ERA, 3Ks, and a 1.69 WHIP. If Pelfrey’s is dropped this week in your league pick him up as he will become a key pitcher on your team. Owned in 84% of yahoo fantasy leagues.
3. KEVIN SLOWLEY MIN – The Twin’s starting pitcher is owned by 67% of yahoo fantasy leagues. Slowley has 7 wins on the year but has had two consecutive bad starts and has posted an ERA of 17.05 with no wins and a 2.84 WHIP.

Also Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher KEVIN MILLWOOD is 1-8 with a 5.12 ERA this year and it has been a tough year in Baltimore, to say the least, and Millwood has a lot of slumping teammates. But Millwood might be having the worst month of any of them, and that's saying something. In four starts in June, he's given up 23 runs in 22 2/3 innings, all of them earned. He has also given up 38 hits, including seven home runs and four doubles. What's wrong?
